Over the first half of 2025, Tajikistan has successfully brought 343 hectares of abandoned farmland back into agricultural use, with 330 hectares classified as irrigated land.  The reclaimed plots have been officially returned to the category of arable land, according to a report presented at a mid-year meeting of the State Committee for Land Management and Geodesy of Tajikistan.
