Somon Air, a private airline in Tajikistan, will resume regular flights on the Dushanbe–Tehran–Dushanbe route starting July 14.
According to the carrier, flights will operate twice a week — on Mondays and Fridays, offering convenient options for business, tourism, and cultural exchanges between Tajikistan and Iran.
Flight Schedule to Tehran: Mondays -- departure from Dushanbe at 09:10, return from Tehran at 11:00 (local time; and Fridays -- departure from Dushanbe at 11:00, return from Tehran at 13:50 (local time)
In addition, starting July 20, Somon Air will also resume flights to Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) once a week, on Sundays: departure from Dushanbe -- 23:00; departure from Jeddah: 04:00 (local time).The airline plans to increase the frequency of the Jeddah route to two flights per week (Fridays and Sundays) in the near future.
Tickets for both destinations are already on sale via www.somonair.com and at local ticket offices.
“We are pleased to reopen these routes and provide our passengers with more options for comfortable international travel. We believe this will help strengthen economic and cultural ties between our countries,” said Abdulqosim Valiyev, CEO of Somon Air.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan’s Centrum Air is launching direct flights from Tashkent and Samarkand to Dushanbe.
According to the airline, the Tashkent–Dushanbe–Tashkent route will commence on July 19, and the Samarkand–Dushanbe–Samarkand route will launch on July 20.
Both routes will operate twice a week.
The Tashkent–Dushanbe air rout starts at 653,000 Uzbek soms (approx. 495 Tajik somonis) and the Samarkand–Dushanbe air route starts from 608,000 soms (approx. 460 somonis)
These flights are operated under the Air Services Agreement signed between the governments of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan on March 9, 2018.
Somon Air is the first private airline in Tajikistan with an office headquartered in Dushanbe. The airline operations are based at Dushanbe International Airport. The airline started operating on February 5, 2008 with regular flights to Moscow and Dubai.
Somon Air is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Somon Air's fleet consists of Boeing 737-800 and 737-900 family aircraft.
The company is focused on expanding the route network of air transportation and the fleet, and currently operates regular flights from Tajikistan to Germany, the UAE, Turkiye, China, Saudi Arabia, Iran, India, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Centrum Air is a private airline specializing in providing passenger and cargo transportation created on January 18, 2023 as part of government initiatives aimed at improving the quality of air travel for residents of Uzbekistan. The airline actively operates charter and scheduled flights to domestic and foreign destinations.
As of April 2025, Centrum Air has reportedly served the following destinations Azerbaijan, China, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Romania, Russia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkiye, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Vietnam.
As of May 2025, Centrum Air reportedly operates an all-Airbus fleet composed of the following aircraft: Airbus A320-200; Airbus A320neo; Airbus A321neo; and Airbus A330-300.
