On September 16, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali officially opened the new five-star Crowne Plaza Dushanbe hotel and an adjacent large-scale business center in the Sino district of the capital.
According to official reports, the expansive multifunctional complex comprises two high-rise buildings: a 20-story luxury hotel and an 18-story commercial tower.
The project began on September 4, 2019, when President Rahmon laid the foundation stone for the complex in one of the most scenic parts of Dushanbe, along Nizami Ganjavi Street on the banks of the Luchob River.
During a tour of the completed facility, the President was informed that Crowne Plaza Dushanbe features 124 rooms, including one exclusive 260-square-meter apartment on the 15th floor designed for VIP guests. The hotel also offers 34 suites, 30 junior suites, and 59 standard rooms, accommodating up to 150 guests at once.

With the completion of construction, 150 local professionals have been employed full-time, with the potential to increase staffing to 200 in the future. Most employees have professional backgrounds in hospitality and customer service and are multilingual, enabling the hotel to provide a high level of service to both domestic and international guests.
During the construction phase, around 400 local workers were provided with temporary jobs and competitive wages, contributing to both employment and skills development in the region.
The entire complex spans 1.18 hectares and was designed and built by the local company Elit-Stroy-Service LLC, in collaboration with international experts. The developers signed a 20-year contract with the London-based InterContinental Hotels Group to operate under the prestigious Crowne Plaza brand, effective from July 1, 2023.

Architecturally, the hotel blends modern design with traditional Tajik elements. Its interiors—from the guest rooms and hallways to the reception and public areas—showcase refined taste and high artistic value, making the building a new landmark in Dushanbe’s cityscape.
The multifunctional complex also includes a variety of amenities such as service and entertainment centers, office spaces, three restaurants, a 150-seat banquet hall, three cafés, a beauty salon, swimming pool, fitness center, and a cinema. Conference halls named after major Tajik cities are located on the second floor, equipped for high-level meetings and events.
Two underground levels provide parking for 100 vehicles and house technical facilities. The entire project was carried out as part of Dushanbe’s city development initiative in celebration of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence, with support from the city’s executive leadership.
The adjoining 18-story business center offers modern office spaces for a wide range of enterprises. Administrative offices occupy floors 1 through 8, while additional business offices are located on floors 9 to 18. The new center has created 100 permanent jobs and was developed in line with Dushanbe’s municipal redevelopment plan, integrating seamlessly into the capital’s modern infrastructure.
