DUSHANBE, June 8, Asia-Plus -- Tajik-Turkish four-day exhibition of applied arts will open at the Turkish Embassy in Dushanbe following Monday [June 12].
According to information from Tajikistan’s Society for Friendship and Cultural Ties with Foreign Countries, best samples of needle-work, including table-cloths, coverlets, toys, as well as ceramics and various samples of handicraft will be put on display in the exhibition, which runs through June 15.
All exhibits displayed in the fair were produced by representatives from the Ankara Institute for Enhancement of Technical Education of Girls named after Sherife Oludagly at the Turkish Ministry of Education and known Tajik artisans.
The exhibition is organized by the Turkish Embassy in Dushanbe, TICA (Turkish International Cooperation Agency) Programs Coordination Office, and Tajikistan’s Society for Friendship and Cultural Ties with Foreign Countries, according to the source.
