DUSHANBE, April 27, Asia-Plus - On Thursday April 26, a commission for consideration of designs of Abuabdullo Rudaki memorial complex concluded its work.
After consideration of all submitted works, the jury took the decision to recognize the design Panjroud prepared by architect Sirojiddin Zuhriddinov, director of the limited liability company Giproprom, the best.
Five works have been submitted for consideration to the commission.
The complex dedicated to the founder of Tajik-Persian literature is supposed to be constructed in the Dushanbe Central Park.
We will recall that the Dushanbe mayor’s office announced the competition in February and on April 18 eight outline sketches were put on display in the Ismoili Somoni monument’s pantheon.
The commission considered the submitted designs but no one of them was endorsed and it was decided to set up four groups from among the competition participants to project new designs. The competition was expended till April 26.
