DUSHANBE, January 27, Asia-Plus -- Russian public children’s ecological movement “Green Planet” in cooperation with Russia’s state-run, scientific and cultural institutions and organizations have announced the beginning of an international children’s international ecological forum “Green Forum” in Moscow.
According to information from the Russian Embassy in Dushanbe, 3,000-5,000 children from various countries, including Tajikistan are supposed to participate in the forum.
The objectives of the forum are in promoting the association of children interested in ecology and environment protection, giving an opportunity for schoolchildren from the various countries to show their achievements by participation in the forum contests and promoting nature protection activity, rational wildlife management and healthy life style among the rising generation, according to the source.
The Asia-Plus interlocutor says the forum is carried out in two stages. The correspondence stage, which lasts till April 10, includes the competition for prizes in categories including: research projects, drawings and photographic works, literature, craft items composed of natural material, clothing fashions designed with non-polluting fabrics and ecological theatres. The awards stage of the forum includes meetings with world famous ecologists; master-classes of graphic, literature, economics et c. related to ecological subjects; presentation of delegations; presentation of winners of the correspondence stage; the contest for the best review on the research project; competition for a best short story and actions for the protection of the environment in the damaged areas (with carrying out of competitions) and some other intellectual activities.
According to information from the Russian Embassy in Dushanbe, several ecological organizations from Tajikistan have expressed wish to participate in the forum.
