DUSHANBE, May 19, Asia-Plus - On Thursday May 18, Tajik Embassy in Moscow housed in an old residence in the center of Moscow dated from the end of 19 th century opened its doors to visitors for seeing the building on occasion of International Day of Museums Tajik Embassy, Muhammad Egamzod, press secretary of the Tajik Embassy said.
The building housing the Tajik Embassy was built in 1899 as private residence for Mrs. Wilhelmina Rekk, the wife of Director of the Moscow Commerce-Construction Society Jacob Rekk.
“The Embassy employees warmly received visitors and acquainted them with history of the building,” said Egamzod, “Besides, an exhibition of works by known Tajik painters was organized on the sidelines of this event.”
