DUSHANBE , July 17, Asia-Plus - “Habitat for Humanity - Tajikistan ” Foundation will put 12 new residential buildings into exploitation in the Tajik city of Vahdat on July 18.

Mr. Alinazar Tirandozov, an employee with the “Habitat for Humanity – Tajikistan ” Foundation, has told Asia-Plus that those residential buildings were affordable for vulnerable families and those residential buildings were being constructed for the purpose of eradicating decrepit dwellings in the country.  According to him, families are selected from among those living in overpopulated and decrepit dwellings (apartments) in anti-sanitary conditions.

Mr. Tirandozov says, “Our Foundation is an international non-government charitable organization that has built more than 100 homes in the country since 1999, when it was founded.”  According to him, the “Habitat for Humanity - Tajikistan ” Foundation provides to vulnerable families long-term bearing no interest loans, and the construction is being carried out by the principle of “home for home” that is to say that family repay the loan bearing no interest during five-ten years.  Monthly payments received from householders use for the construction of new homes for new families, according to him.  The loan is provided in a form of building materials.
