In the first ten-days of July 2008 the number of mobile communication subscribers rose by 9 million in Uzbekistan, reported Jahon citing the Agency of Communication and Information of Uzbekistan. For over the past five years the mobile communication networks have been intensively developing. Number of cell phone users is rapidly growing. If in November 2005 the first million subscribers were registered than at the beginning of 2007 their number made up 2.5 million. For over 2007 the number of mobile communication subscribers increased by 3.1 million, at the end of the same year their number accounted for 5.8 million.
