“Constitution – guarantor of inter-faith and interethnic harmony stability” is the theme of a roundtable being held in Astana at present.
According to Marat Bashimov, event moderator, Director of the Expert Institute for European Law, the roundtable aims at discussion of the main provisions of the Kazakhstan Constitution and analysis of last year amendments to it.
As is known, the People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan gained a new status in 2007, and its members have a right to be elected to the Kazakh Parliament now.
Reps of non-governmental organizations, national-cultural centers, state bodies and mass-media took part in the work of the conference.
