President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov congratulated President Kurmanbek Bakiev with victory in the 23 July presidential elections.
"Please accept my sincere congratulations upon your re-election for the presidential post in the Kyrgyz Rpublic," said the President of Uzbekistan in his message sent on July 24.
"I express my confidence that your comprehensive well-thought and balanced policy on strengthening bilateral and multilateral Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations clearly meets interests of countries and peoples. I wish your, dear Kurmanbek Salievich, sound health and success with implementation of plans, as well as peace and well-being to the people of Kyrgyzstan," Islam Karimov said.
