The International Scientific Conference "Ancient Dzheytun - a Center of Early Farming Culture" dedicated to the study of one of the earliest farming cultures of Central Asia started in Ashgabat today.

Over 50 academics from 20 countries participate in the forum, which is taking place on the initiative and under the patronage of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat. The conference has been organized by the Ministry of Culture and Broadcasting, the National Institute of Manuscripts and the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.

The conference participants will work in four sections. They will discuss important issues related to the modern study of the historical and cultural centers, the results of new archaeological prospecting in Dzheitun, and Dzheytun culture influence on the development of ancient eastern agricultural civilizations.
