DUSHANBE, October 6, Asia-Plus– A meeting of Tajik students studying at various higher educational institutions in China was held in Beijing on October 5.
The Russian news agency Itar-Tass reported that the meeting was devoted to the upcoming presidential elections in Tajikistan.
“Tajik students have unanimously expressed readiness to actively participate in the poll and support candidacy of Emomali Rahmonov,” a statement released by the Tajik Embassy in Beijing said, according to Itar-Tass.
Polling station # 45 is located in the building of the Tajik Embassy.
At present 35 Tajik students study at higher educational institutions in China. “They have adopted an appeal to students in Tajikistan calling on them to support Rahmonov’s candidacy,” press release said.
