DUSHANBE, April 13, Asia-Plus - Information posted on Tajik president’s website says that during his stay in Dubai, President Emomali Rahmon also met with Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and Minister of Finance and Industry. 

In the course of the talks the two discussed issues related to establishment and expansion of economic and investment cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).  Emomali Rahmon and Shaikh Hamdan underlined the importance of economic and investment ties between Muslim countries and named them one of the key factors contributing to increase in living level of peoples in the Muslim world.  

Shaikh Hamdan stressed the UAE’s open economic policy and expressed hope that Rahmon’s visit would yield good results for both sides. 

He, in particular, welcomed President Rahmon’s proposal to implement programs being of significant regional importance and expressed wish to call on the UAE’s investment companies to cooperate with Tajikistan.
