KULOB, April 23, Asia-Plus - On Saturday April 21, primary organizations of the Communist Party (CPT) in the city of Kulob and nine districts of the Kulob region of Khatlon held meetings to mark the 137th anniversary of Vladimir Lenin.
Sharif Safarov, the first secretary of the committee of the CPT organization for the Kulob region, told Asia-Plus that the CPT organization in the region numbers more than 11,000 members. “2,000 of them have left for the Russian Federation for seasonal work with consent of their primary organizations,” Safarov said, noting that some 20-30 people in the region join the party every month.
