KHUJAND, December 5, 2008, Asia-Plus -- 480 computers and 80 printers allocated from president’s reserve fund were distributed to schools in northern Tajikistan on December 3-4, Ms. Dilbar Ismoilova, the deputy head of the Sughd education directorate, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to her, the computers and printers were distributed to schools in 15 of 18 districts of the province.
“Local schools now have totaling 8,035 computers,” Ismoilova said, noting that 894 schools with totaling 464,255 pupils currently function in the province.
