DUSHANBE, August 30, 2010, Asia-Plus -- On Monday August 30, new Afghan Ambassador to Tajikistan, Dr. Abdughafour Arzu Akhtar Mohammed, presented a copy of his credentials to Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
In the course of the talks, the two considered a broad range of issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
According to the Afghan Embassy in Dushanbe, Dr. Abdughafour Arzu Akhtar Mohammed was born in Herat in 1961. He graduated from the Teachers’ Training University in Tehran, Iran. Abdughafour Arzu Akhtar Mohammed had previously served as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Afghan Embassy in Tehran.
