DUSHANBE, October 27, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The 13th two-day meeting of the group of the CIS joint commission for combating illegal migration has opened in Dushanbe today, according to Interior Ministry migration service.

The seventh meeting of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) commission for migration policy that is also opening in the Tajik capital today will last for two days as well, the source said.

The participants plan to discuss priorities of cooperation within the EAEC area in the field of migration as well as implementation of the program aimed at combating illegal migration within the CIS area.

Before the meeting, Konstantin Romodanovsky, the director of Russia’s Federal Migration Service (FMS), was received by President Emomali Rahmon.  The two discussed the migration policy problems, the source added.
