DUSHANBE, November 5, Asia-Plus -- The second five-day training on how to make economic reports will be launched in Dushanbe on November 8.
According to local NGO Khoma, the training is part of the project, Journalism School of Economics for Representatives of Tajikistan’s Media, which is implemented under support of the Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OS/AF-Tajikistan) and the U.S. Embassy Democracy Commission Small Grants Program in partnership with Khoma.
“The main objective of the workshop is in training Tajik journalists in how to collect information and make reports on economic subjects, said the source. “Professor Ilya Kiriya, Media Management and Media Business Sub-department at Higher School of Economic (Russia), and Munim Hasanov, the head the Finance and Economics Management Sub-department at the Public Servants Advanced Training Institute of the Public Service Directorate at the President of Tajikistan, have been invited to conduct the training.”
The training participants will study history and typology of the business journalism and learn how to collect and process information and make reports on economic subjects, the source added.
