DUSHANBE, May 12, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The Somon bazaar in Dushanbe’s Giprozem area will be suspended on May 13 for failure to comply with sanitary and fire safety requirements, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office said.
According to him, a decision to close the market has been made following rulings handed down by Dushanbe’s Firefighting Service and Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision. “The market will be reopened after removal of existing shortcomings,” Saidov noted.
The mayor of Dushanbe ordered to provide merchants from the Somon bazaar with temporary places at other markets of the city.
