DUSHANBE, June 13, 2011, Asia-Plus -- On Friday June 10, the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper house of parliament) Chairman Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev received Saudi Ambassador to Tajikistan, Dr. Bandar Mohammed Jamil.
Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the Majlisi Milli speaker, says the two considered a number of issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia.
On initiative of the Saudi Embassy in Dushanbe a group of heads of a number of Saudi tour operators will arrive in Dushanbe in the near future to get acquainted with Tajikistan’s capacity for tourism development.
Ambassador Jamil expressed confidence that visit of that group will promote expansion of economic cooperation between the countries, Saidov said.
