DUSHANBE, July 12, 2012, Asia-Plus -- A Tajikistan-Korea business forum took place in Yeosu, South Korea on July 11. The conference brought together representatives of business communities of the two countries, the press center of Tajikistan’s Camber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) reported.
According to the CCI press center, Tajikistan’s CCI head Sharif Said met with mayor and senior representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Yeosu on the sidelines of the forum.
The sides reportedly discussed issues related to economic cooperation between the two countries and Sharif Said outlined sectors like tourism, construction, energy, telecommunications, health and mining, as areas of which could drive the bilateral trade between Tajikistan and South Korea.
The sides also considered issues of investing in cotton industry, silk spinning, tanning industry as well as fruit and vegetable processing in Tajikistan, the source said.
