KHOROG, August 30, Asia-Plus -- Russian female tourist has been drowned in the Roshtqala River in Gorno Badakhshan.
Mizrob Dorobov, a chief inspector with press service of the GBAO police directorate, told Asia-Plus that tragedy took place near the Sebzor area in the Roshqtala district on August 27.
“The 20-year old Darya Kolesnikova tried to sail across the river in kayak,” said Dorobov, “The kayak turned over and she was drowned.” Her body was found and sent to Russia.
