Serviceman of Russian military base detained for hijacking car

Dushanbe
traffic police yesterday detained a 22-year-old serviceman of Russian military base stationed in Tajikistan Ivan Chistyakov for hijacking a car “VAZ-2107” belonging to the
Dushanbe
resident Sulaymon Isoyev.
According to information from the
Dushanbe
traffic police, Ivan Chistyakov hijacked the car from the
Jomi Street
on the night of May 14-15. “The car has already been returned to its owner and criminal proceedings have been instituted against the Russian serviceman,” the source said.
