DUSHANBE, February 7, Asia-Plus - Two Tajik nationals have been detained in Moscow on suspicion of robbing passengers on the rail route from Dushanbe to Moscow, Muhammad Egamzod, press secretary, the Tajik Embassy in Moscow, told Asia-Plus Wednesday afternoon.
According to him, Safar Zokirov and Lutfullo Davlatov were detained at the Kazan railway station in Moscow on Monday. “The preliminary investigation has established that Zokirov and Davlatov had extorted money from passengers on the train Dushanbe-Moscow during four years,” the press secretary said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against them and the Moscow transportation police directorate is investigating the case.
