DUSHANBE, February 25, Asia-Plus -- The trial of officer from the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption Fayzali Aminov began in the Supreme Court on February 25.
Proceedings started with the reading of the indictment, which charges Aminov with abuse of office.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Presiding Judge Bobokalon Murodov said that Aminov had reportedly used coercion to extort confession from a resident of Khatlon’s Qubodiyon district that he had given bribe to local judge.
In the meantime, the trial was adjourned today until February 27. The judge ordered the adjournment after Aminov said that he would like to change his defense lawyer.
