DUSHANBE, May 14, Asia-Plus -- The Khatlon anticorruption directorate has instituted criminal proceedings against Hasan Yorov, a chief shepherd with the farming unit Mashal dealing with the pedigree stock-breeding in Khatlon’s Vakhsh district, who faces misappropriation charge, Asia-plus has learned at anticorruption agency’s headquarters in Dushanbe.
Abusing his position, Yorov has misappropriated 386 head of sheep and goats belonging to the state-run farm, the source said. If convicted, Hasan Yorov could face up to nine years in prison.
