KHUJAND, January 30, 2009, Asia-Plus -- In 2008, women in the northern Sughd province committed 388 crimes, which was 42 cases less than in 2007, according to the Sughd directorate for family and women’s affairs.
In Khujand, the number of female crimes decreased 33 cases, in Panjakent by 10 cases, in Isfara by 4 cases, in Spitamen by 15 cases, in Bobojonghafurov by 2 cases, in Zafarobod by 5 cases and in Kuhistoni Mastchoh by 2 cases.
In the meantime, in some cities and districts the number of female crimes increased compared over the report period. In Qairoqqum, the number of female crimes increased by 6 cases, in Konibodom by 6 cases, Jabborrasulov by 9 cases, and in Shahriston by one case.
