DUSHANBE, April 2, 2011, Asia-Plus – Delegations of Tajik Foreign Ministry and Austria’s Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs conducted political consultations in Vienna on April1.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, the sides discussed state of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Austria, extension of legal foundation of them, cooperation between the European Union and Tajikistan, the current situation in Afghanistan and other regional issues being of mutual interest.
The delegations noted that bilateral relations between the two countries were at good level and it was necessary to take efforts to promote further development of them. They pointed out that relations between Tajikistan and the European Union showed an upward trend lately.
Representatives of both sides agreed to hold such meeting regularly, the Tajik MFA information department said.
