Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon will visit Kyrgyzstan’s capital, Bishkek, on October 13 to participate in a summit of the Council of the Leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which is scheduled to take place in Bishkek on the same day, according to the Tajik president’s press service.
It was noted that leaders of the CIS member nations will discuss a wide range of issues, including trade and economic cooperation.
Important decisions aimed at promoting further expansion of economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the CIS member nations will be made at the upcoming CIS summit, the Tajik president’s press service said.
The summit will be held under the chairmanship of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov Kyrgyzstan chairs the CIS bodies this year.
