DUSHANBE, November 15, Asia-Plus - The seventh session of the Majlisi Milli today also seconded amendments made to the country’s Administrative Code.
Mahkam Mahmoudov, the head of the Majlisi Milli Committee on Constitution, Legality and Human Rights, said that amendments to the administrative code provide for administrative responsibility for infringements, which previously were punishable under the criminal code.
”Among these infringements are, for example, offenses involving a small amount of drugs (not more than 0.5 gram), which now are not punishable by imprisonment,” Mahmoudov said.
Besides, the amendments made to the code also provide for administrative responsibility for illegally keeping up to 10 bullets. Persons who will voluntarily hand over them to the law enforcement agencies will be exempted from this responsibility, according to him.
