DUSHANBE, December 6, Asia-Plus - The powers of two deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament), Shukurjon Zuhurov and Ghaybullo Afzalov, have been terminated ahead of schedule in connection with appointment of them to the governmental positions.
A regular sitting of the third session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the third convocation, presided over by its chairman, Saydullo Khairulloyev, was held on December 6.
The parliament passed a resolution on an early termination of the powers of Zuhurov and Afzalov in connection with appointment to the governmental positions.
By president’s decrees Shukurjon Zuhurov has been appointed Minister of Labor and Social Security and Ghaybullo Afzalov has been appointed Chairman of the Khatlon Province.
