DUSHANBE, January 11, Asia-Plus -- On Wednesday January 10, Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsid Ubaidulloyev signed a resolution announcing a tender for revising the general plan for development of Dushanbe projected for the period up to 2030.
The tender launched on January 10 runs through February 24.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that the revised general plan should take into consideration that the city’s territory will have been extended up to 15,850 hectares by 2030 and it population will be up to one million people. “The revised general plan should be drawn up with taking into amount that the city will have three circles,” the spokesman said.
By mayor’s resolution the revised Dushanbe general plan should pass all procedures in the Dushanbe legislature and country’s parliament by September 1, 2009.
