DUSHANBE, January 30, Asia-Plus - President Rahmonov has signed decrees appointing senior officials of the anticorruption agency.
According to presidential press service, President Emomali Rahmonov yesterday signed decree appointing Abdurahim Abdulhasanov Deputy Director of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption.
By other president’s decree Jurakhon Kabirov, formerly deputy of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament), was also appointed Deputy Director of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption.
As it had been reported earlier, President Rahmonov signed a decree on January 10 establishing the anticorruption agency. The agency has a staff of 500. It performs functions previously carried out by the State Financial Control Committee, Main Tax Police Directorate, Directorate for Combating Corruption, and other agencies. Sherkhon Salimov is the director of the anticorruption agency. The anticorruption agency is placed under president’s direct supervision.
