DUSHANBE, April 5, Asia-Plus  -- Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov has supported request by his Dushanbe counterpart Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev for aid and 20 generators with capacity of 100-200 kW each will be sent to Dusahnbe soon, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor told Asia-Plus on Saturday, noting that Ubaidulloyev was on a working visit to Moscow from March 27 to April 2.     

During the meeting that was held on March 28, the two reached an agreement on construction of a number of coal-run boiler houses in the Dushanbe’s Sino district for heating multi-storey residential buildings and social facilities in the district that receive electricity supplies only, the spokesman said.     

Moscow specialists are expected to arrive in Dushanbe to study the situation on April 7.  The boiler house are supposed to be built before the winter months   

The mayors also discussed issues related to protection of rights of Tajik labor migrants working in Moscow. 

During his stay in Moscow, Ubaidulloyev also held talks with a number of high-ranking officials from the Moscow mayor’s office to discuss cooperation issues.

Moscow officials agreed to invest in construction of a number of multi-storey residential buildings and domestic-service facilities in Dushanbe’s Zarafshon area, and a group of Moscow specialists will arrive in Dusahnbe on April 7 to discuss details of this project, Saidov said.
