DUSHANBE, November 3, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament), Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev, yesterday signed a resolution on convocation of the 22nd session of the Majlisi Milli on November 19 this year.
Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the Majlisi Milli speaker, said that the session would consider laws on the country’s criminal-procedural code, participation of citizens in maintenance of public order and amendments proposed to the law on holidays.
The upper house of the parliament will also consider the constitutional law on the procedure of settlement of issues of the administrative-territorial system of Tajikistan.
The session will also consider a number of other laws and standard acts related to socioeconomic and cultural life of the country, the aide said.
