Comprehensive preparations for the holding of international high-level events has become one of the topics of a working meeting presided over by President Emomali Rahmon.
The Tajik president’s official website says members of the Government, President’s Executive Office, senior representatives of a number of relevant ministries and agencies, province governors, Dushanbe mayor and heads of cities and districts participated in the meeting that took place on June 15.
Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda reportedly reported on the progress of preparations for the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the next meeting of the Council of Heads of the Founding States of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea. Both these events will take place in the Tajik capital from September 14-15.
The meeting participants also discussed issues related to expansion of the landscaping work for the 35th anniversary of independence, state of field work, successful harvest, second crop sowing, reservation of food products and other agricultural goods, and development of the national economy’s sectors, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
