President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon opened several new facilities during his working trip to Nurek, the press service of the head of state reports.
Initially, he launched a new “Tajik Global Invest” company for the production of oil under the brand name “Ravgani Olii Norak”, which will produce 10 tons of oil per day. The raw materials for the plant – sunflower seeds – come from Kazakhstan. Soap will be made from waste oil production at the enterprise.
Then Emomali Rahmon opened a central sports complex in Nurek, designed for 10,000 spectators. The construction of the complex began in 2020 and cost more than 37 million somoni.
It consists of four buildings, including one two-storey and three one-storey. The complex has 15 rooms for teams and coaches, 9 additional rooms, 5 retail outlets, locker rooms, showers, a medical center and administrative offices. The President called for the active development of sports and the training of world-class athletes.
With the participation of the President, the renovated central hospital complex of Nurek was also opened, which underwent major repairs and modernization. The hospital was built in the 1960s, and now it has a new boiler room, laundry and disinfection rooms, as well as modern medical equipment.
The clinic includes three floors and a basement, more than 190 rooms, 132 patient rooms and specialized departments. As a result of the modernization, 360 jobs have been created for medical staff. The President also handed over two vehicles for emergency medical care and gave recommendations on improving the quality of medical services.
Currently, there are 25 medical institutions in the city.
