China yesterday handed over a batch of special machines and equipment to the Emergencies Committee under the Government of Tajikistan.

According to the Emergencies Committee press center, the assistance, which costs 6 million U.S. dollars, includes 127 items of equipment.  Among them are bulldozers, robots, off-the-road vehicles, boats, etc.

Due to Chinas assistance, Tajikistan’s emergency management agency now has a chemical lab to measure the level of radiation in the air.

The Emergencies Committee chief, Lieutenant-General Rustam Nazarzoda, appreciated China’s assistance and expressed confidence that the donated equipment will help save human lives in natural and man-made disasters.
