DUSHANBE, March 14, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Tajik school students took first place in the 10th International Mathematical Olympiad “Silk Road” that was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan from March 1 to March 10, Noilsho Nouraliyev, a spokesman for the Ministry of Education (MoE), told Asia-Plus on Saturday, March 12.
According to him, 15 Tajik schools students participating in the Olympiad won one gold, three silver and five bronze medals.
“Tajik young mathematicians shared first place with team of Kazakh school students,” the spokesman said, noting that the Olympiad brought together school students from the countries situated along the Silk Road.
