KULOB, May 5, 2011, Asia-Plus -- A greenhouse at the agricultural production cooperative, Sadbarg, in Khatlon’s Vose district has produced its first cucumber crop.
The Sadbarg chairwoman Nazarbi Davlatova says their greenhouse laid out on 0.2 ha is still the only year-round greenhouse in Khatlon province.

In the meantime, Mohammad Salim, head of the Oxfam office in Kulob, says 55 greenhouses have been constructed in the area under financial support of Oxfam. “Besides, local residents have constructed 56 more greenhouses on their own,” Salim noted.
