KONIBODOM, June 30, 2011, Asia-Plus -- A new TV station, TV5, has been launched in the northern city of Konibodom.
Television reporter Numon Umarov, who is one of founders of the new TV station, says TV5 will provide reliable and operational information about events taking place in the world, region, country and the city.
“We have founded the TV station for the purpose of promoting further development of society and protection of information space of the country,” Umarov stressed.
According to him, to fulfill its tasks TV5 will actively cooperate with local authorities that have supported the idea of founding of the TV station as well as local governmental and non-governmental organizations.
Konibodom, bordering Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, now has the TV station Anis, city radio and two weeklies (one of them is private).
