QURGHON TEPPA, January 27, Asia-Plus -- Medical workers in Khatlon’s Shahritous district have not ye received wages for November and December 2011, an official source at one of local medical facilities told Asia-Plus today.
“They have promised recently to pay our wages for November and December, but we have not yet received them,” he said, noting that 250 people work for their medical facility at an average monthly wage of 200-250 somoni.
Meanwhile, the Shahritous finance department denies the information about wage debts as unfounded. “Federally funded organizations functioning in the district do not have wage debts,” the source at the finance department said. “Recently we transferred wages for January as well.”
