Dushanbe. 27 August. “Asia Plus” -- The Kazakh government plans to render humanitarian aid to the Tajik people, affected by the natural disasters in July this year.
As said the press service of the Kazakh government on August 26, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting of the commission on the issues of international humanitarian aid.
"Taking into account the situation in the affected by mudflows and floods Tajikistan, the Commission recommended the Government of Kazakhstan to provide an official humanitarian assistance to the country. To the affected areas of Tajikistan will be delivered canned milk and meat, vegetable oil, butter, sugar, rice, metal-roll and slate”- said in the statement.
It is noted that due to a sharp rise of the air temperature in many mountain regions of Tajikistan has increased the melting of glaciers and local cloudburst caused the mudslides and floods. "Such situation emerged along the basins of Panj, Vakhsh, Zeravshan, Kafirnigan, Isfara and Isfana rivers", - stressed in the message.
