On May 30, the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, met here with Vice-Chairwoman of the All-China Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Chairwoman of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Committee on Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation, Ms. Shen Yueyue.
The Tajik president’s official website reports that a meeting, which took place on the margin of the first International High-Level Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation, included an exchange of views on the further development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Tajikistan and China.
Tajik leader reportedly expressed satisfaction with the development of multifaceted relations between Tajikistan and China based on the principle of good-neighborliness.
The parties emphasized their constant support for each other, including our country's global initiatives in the field of water and climate.
The parties reportedly also exchanged views on the "One Belt - One Road" initiative, cooperation within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and in the "Central Asia - China" format.
Issues of inter-parliamentary relations between Tajikistan and China were touched upon.
It was proposed to establish working relations between the Movement for National Unity and Revival of Tajikistan and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
