KHOROG, August 1, 2008, Asia-Plus  -- A book, titled “Hosili Umr” (Fruits of Life) and dedicated to known Tajik poet and literary critic Nodir (Jamshed) Shanbezoda has been brought out in Tajikistan.  The book has been published on occasion of the 100th birthday of the poet. 

The book, edited by Varqa Okhonniyozov and Ato Mirkhoja and having circulation of a 2,000, has been printed at the publishing house Nodir.

Nodir Shanbezoda wrote verses and poems in two languages – Tajik and Shugnani. 

The first part of the book includes poems, lyrics and satirical verses and the second part includes memories of a number of known Tajik poets and experts in literature such as Muhiddin Farhat, Mamadalisho Haidarsho, Sulton Shozoda, Dodikhudo Karamshoyev and others.   The event was attended by senior representatives of the local authorities, poets, relatives, friends and pupils of the poet.

Nodir Shanbezoda was not only known Tajik poet but also one the best Tajik experts in works of Hafiz and known Iranian poets Said Nafisi and Eraj Mirzo.

Nodir Shanbezoda was born in the village of Roshtqala, Gorno Badakhshan in 1908.  In 1932, he graduated from the University of Laborers of the East in Tashkent.  Nodir Shanbezoda is author of a number of books such as Silsialai Badakhshon, Taronai Nour, Az Bomi Jahon, etc.
