The TadAZ official commenting on a statement made by deputy head of the “Barqi Tojik” open joint-stock holding company, Jamshed Mansurov, that TadAZ’s debt to “Barqi Tojik” for electricity was US$18 million, noted, “In early January, we paid 16 million USD for electricity imported from Uzbekistan for the country’s needs.”
“To date, the finance management system at the plant has been reorganized and all payments are made in good time,” said the Asia-Plus interlocutor, “And partners, including the power engineering workers, do not have any grievance against the plant.”
Representatives from the TadAZ claim that the plant’s large debt to “Barqi Tojik” was formed last year, under the rule of the previous administration. “At present this problem is being solved and in the beginning of this year, the plant transferred to “Barqi Tojik 50 million Somonis to clear off the previous debts,” said the source, “Besides, one million US dollars were transferred to “Tojikgaz” for the consumed gas.”
