DUSHANBE, April 2, 2010, Asia-Plus - An apartment of an official with the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) has been robbed in Dushanbe, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
The source at a MoI says the police department in Dushanbe’s Shohmansour district yesterday received an application from J.M., deputy chief of Department IV, GNB, over robbery at his apartment.
According to the application, unknown persons penetrated into J.M. apartment on the night of March 31-April 1 and seized 18,000 U.S. dollars in cash and household things for a total amount of 85,130 somoni (equivalent to some 20,000 U.S. dollars).
Criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under way.
