DUSHANBE, August 1, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon has arrived in Moscow and is scheduled to meet with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to discuss a wide range of issues, Radio Liberty reported on August 1.

Among the items on the agenda for the meeting of the two presidents on August 1 are the issues of Tajik migrant laborers working in Russia, Russian participation in energy projects in Tajikistan, and the extension of the Russian 201st Division’s use of bases in Tajikistan.

Also on the agenda are talks about the security situation in Central Asia after the planned 2014 departure of the bulk of foreign forces from Afghanistan, Tajikistan’s neighbor to the south.

Accompanying Rahmon on his visit are Tajikistan’s minister of defense, minister of economic development and trade, minister of energy and industry, and the head of Tajikistan’s migration service.
