After the completion of official meetings and negotiations between Tajikistan and Pakistan, a number of cooperation documents were signed in Dushanbe yesterday, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, signed a Joint Statement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Strategic Partnership Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
They then witnessed the signing of the following seven cooperation documents:
- A Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for 2025-2026;
- A Protocol of intentions for cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Federal Ministry of Maritime Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the expansion of cooperation in the export and import of goods and industrial products;
- An Agreement on scientific cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the Academy of Sciences of Pakistan;
- A Roadmap between the Tourism Development Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Tourism Development Corporation of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan;
- An additional Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Civil Aviation Administration of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on air services;
- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the National University of Tajikistan (Dushanbe, Tajikistan) and the University of Punjab (Lahore, Pakistan);
- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between Tajikistan Cricket Federation and Pakistan Cricket Council.
